Today is the first day of the Turin Book Fair, and this year we will be presenting all of Arbos’ new products for people who love to write.
This is the 28th edition of the Book Fair and it will focus on the theme of “The wonders of Italy”: the Italian landscape; the UNESCO monuments and treasures; Italian innovation and excellence in the many fields of modern and historical creativity; and Italy’s place in the collective global imagination. All this will take centre stage during the entire fair: and this is the perfect context, therefore, in which to display what we have to offer.
The Book Fair is also an occasion for us to present the “Quaderni Aperti” (Open Book) project based on an idea of Thomas Pololi, the founder of the association and of the “Quadernini” blog.
The purpose of the Quaderni Aperti association is the participatory collection of school exercise books and the valorisation of their content through the channels of dissemination, research and social promotion.
To date, the association has collected over 600 school exercise books dating from the early 20th century to the present day.
Arbos is delighted to be a part of this project and to breathe life into new exercise books full of emotive expression.
These are exercise books to write in but also to collect; each one, in fact, contains a selection of texts and drawings by children obtained from the collection of the Quaderni Aperti association.
At the Book Fair, Arbos will display “Quaderno #10”, the very first exercise book in a line of ten dedicated to each decade from 1900 up to now.
And from now until May 18th we await all those who love books and, in particular, who appreciate the “scent” of printed paper, at stand R24 of pavilion 3, in Lingotto Fiere.
We look forward to seeing you there!
