Gaia Segattini Knotwear by Arbos: A Vibrant Collection with a Nod to 80s Fashion
Color, color, color. If we had to summarize our new Gaia Segattini Knotwear by Arbos collection in one word, it would be this: color.
Gaia Segattini is the founder of GSK – Gaia Segattini Knotwear a sustainable knitwear brand strictly made in the Marche region.
The brand stands as a flagbearer for a responsible and alternative way of producing quality clothing: all garments – in limited quantities – are made from surplus production yarns. As you can imagine, these are sweaters, cardigans, jackets, and vests that are colorful and characterized by bold patterns.
Sustainability, color, territory: the values of the Gaia Segattini Knotwear by Arbos collection
We wanted to bring Gaia’s boldly 80s pop world into Arbos’ collections. And that’s how Gaia Segattini Knotwear by Arbos came to be. We felt the need to create a collection that combined graphics and color with our classic recycled materials. But we didn’t want to do it as a trendy move; on the contrary, we wanted to stay true to the Arbos style.
When we met Gaia, we realized we shared a deep connection of intent. It’s true: Arbos focuses on stationery and Gaia on clothing, but hearing her speak in an online meeting, we immediately grasped how similar our two companies are. In fact, coming from different experiences made the idea of collaboration even more exciting, as it allowed us to combine diverse knowledge and expertise.
Additionally, we connected deeply through the values we share: respect for people, love for our respective territories and their uniqueness—Gaia for the Marche, Arbos for Veneto—and a profound respect for the craftsmanship that embodies true Made in Italy. Naturally, we are also united by our environmental focus, which means enhancing, not wasting, resources and materials.
The Gaia Segattini Knotwear by Arbos collection brought color into our products. What we love most about Gaia Segattini Knotwear’s style is her ability to combine color with timeless garments. Arbos has always focused on materials and elegant design—styles that never go out of fashion, always current, beautiful, and evocative. With this collection, we’ve pushed the boundaries by introducing bold, vibrant colors that now dance their way into our product offerings.
How the Gaia Segattini Knotwear by Arbos collection was born
Each collection arises from a collaborative process. In this case, for the Gaia Segattini Knotwear by Arbos collection, Gaia first contributed her aesthetic input. Together, we “explored” the possible combinations of patterns, materials, and colors, defining the various aspects of the product.
For Gaia Segattini Knotwear by Arbos, we used her most iconic pattern: giant dots, small polka dots, and stripes of different widths intersecting and overlapping for a vibe reminiscent of the Memphis style and the playful 80s.
We chose this pattern because it is immediately linked to her world and recognizable by her audience. The pattern was developed in multiple colors on the cardboard cover, while it is monochrome on the recycled leather.
In this collection, nothing was left to chance: for example, for the notebook binding, we used colorful Singer stitching, a clear nod to the fashion world.
Who is the Gaia Segattini Knotwear by Arbos collection for?
The Gaia Segattini Knotwear by Arbos collection is designed by women, for women. Women who have their own style, are not afraid to show it, and love bold colors.
We imagine these notebooks and journals becoming the space for women to jot down ideas, dreams, and projects—women who think for themselves and don’t feel the need to conform to current fashion trends.
