Arbos is now collaborating with Tropico del Libro, a portal dedicated to publishing and a culture of awareness.
Founded in September 2011, Tropico del Libro aims to map the world of Italian publishing and to provide regular updates on the latest in the fields of publishing and literature.
This portal features up-to-date news, publishing services, competitions and job offers. It encompasses international projects, institutions, authorities, publishing houses and independent bookstores.
Tropico del Libro is innovative in that it offers truly exhaustive data and information laid out in a rational manner.
Tropico offers many possibilities available for selection; it is based on the simple and highly effective concept of “Who reads finds”, conveying the idea that reading means to understand.
This project resulted in the setting up, in 2013, of the no-profit association Open Culture Atlas, which aims to create a community of readers, editors, librarians, publishers, booksellers, writers and printers.
The objective of the Association is to help improve the overall performance of the publishing and cultural ecosystem by providing critical information and facilitating cooperative networks. It is a “shared project” that brings together all kinds of cultural experiences. For the members’ campaign of Tropico del Libro, Arbos has developed the Taccuino delle idee elastiche (Notebook of flexible ideas) which the association will offer to all members for free. The notebook has pages made of 100% Ecolabel certified recycled paper, and a delightful yellow cardboard cover made of cellulose from cultivated trees.
